Health tech education start-up Mind You MHS (Mental Health Systems) has announced an extension of its groundbreaking online platform “House of Healers,” which uses video games to help address the mental health challenges faced by many young Filipinos today.

Interested gamers can still catch free signups and private in-game consultations during the last weekends of May (20, 21, 27, and 28), from 3pm to 5pm. For the next remaining sessions, Mind You mental health professionals will be in the online worlds of Genshin Impact, Mobile Legends, and League of Legends. Slots may be reserved via bit.ly/HouseOfHealers.

Playing as famous “Healer” characters, Mind You’s team of licensed psychologists will be in the game to offer real-life healing in the form of free mental health education. The platform aims to create a safe space for conversations to happen and open the door to take the first step in their mental health journey.

Extending mental health care services to those in need

To date, more than 4,000 gamers have already availed of the House of Healers in-game consultation and livestreams. The streams consist of Mind You inviting a panel of guests to discuss the mental health situation in the Philippines as it relates to gaming. All episodes are now available for viewing on Mind You’s official Facebook page (@mindyoumhs).

“House of Healers has offered us a new and unique opportunity to effectively use the power and influence of gaming to extend mental health support to those in need. The initial number of participants have been highly motivating, and we are excited to continue leveraging House of Healers in our efforts to break the stigma of mental health and encourage others to seek help before it is too late. Overall, we are committed to helping increase the accessibility to better mental health care in the Philippines,” said Yuri Marshall, Chief Executive Officer, Mind You MHS.

Compliant with the Data Privacy Act and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the online meetups are designed as educational sessions for interested participants to chat with professionally trained professionals about mental health and learn more about it. At no point will any diagnosis, medication, or intervention be issued unless someone is deemed to be “at-risk”.

Upon completing the registration form, please wait for a Mind You representative to reach out with further details when the session is confirmed.
