To commemorate National Mental Health Week, leading HMO provider PhilCare and the local government unit of Taguig City recently sealed a partnership for Mindscapes, the mental health service arm of PhilCare which helps companies develop customizable, tech-enabled programs that support employees in their mental wellness journey.
The partnership was signed by PhilCare President and CEO Jaeger Tanco and Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano during an event called “Your Mind Matters, You Matter.”
“The event’s name encapsulates the essence of what both PhilCare and Taguig are committed to — fostering mental well-being is a collective responsibility,” Tanco said. “We want to reinforce the idea that everyone’s mind matters, and one shouldn’t allow difficult seasons to defeat them. We want them to know that help is always available.”
The partnership’s goal is to provide Taguig constituents with valuable mental health literacy tools and screening resources, as well as psychoeducational mental health webinars. It aims to help reduce the stigma surrounding mental health issues and promote a culture of openness and understanding, provide resources that facilitate early detection and intervention of mental health disorders, and educational resources with valuable insights and strategies for maintaining mental well-being.
Mindscapes is able to identify and address mental issues employees are having by providing in-app consultations and counseling, virtual visits and program monitoring, as well as online educational materials and resources. Aware that having quick access to secure channels is crucial when it comes to taking care of one’s mental health, Mindscapes built a strong support system composed of experienced counselors, psychologists, and psychiatrists who are ready to listen in a safe and secure environment. Mindscapes also offers prepaid plans for individuals.
