The Dibuluan National High School of Jones, Isabela swept the boys and girls division in the Department of Education (DepEd) Municipal meet volleyball competition recently.
Teacher Ms. Sheena Gumpal Pua, head teacher and adviser of the team, sent a heartful message to Philippine Volleyball Federation (PVF) president Edgardo ‘Tito Boy’ Cantada.
“Champion ang team namin sa Municipal Meet sir. Both boys and girls. Thank you for your support po,” said Pua.
Dibuluan National High School is just one of hundred public high schools in the country which received volleyball ball, net and school supplies under the PVF grassroots sports and community service program.
The PVF has touched the lives of marginalized school children including those of Indigenous People, the Aetas in Central Luzon and Manubus in Arakan, Cotabato, among others. The program has resumed vigorously with the opening of DepEd classes for the new year 2023.
The PVF initiatives is generously supported by Tanduay Athletics, Asia Brewery Incorporated, Philippine Flour Mills and Toyota Marilao.
