President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. visits the country’s southernmost island, the Tawi-Tawi, to deploy its one-stop government service fair in line with the Bagong Pilipinas campaign of governance in the Municipality of Bongao.
“Talaga namang ninanais kong magtungo rito, hindi lamang upang magbigay ng tulong sa mga nasalanta ng El Niño. Kun’di makita rin nang personal ang pag-unlad ng pagbabagong nagaganap sa Tawi-Tawi.” said President Marcos, Jr.
Around 40 government agencies delivered their respective services in the 18th province touched by the program, including the PSC, with the Bangsamoro Sports Commission, expressing its full support by bringing in free sports consultation, demonstration, and exhibition matches for Chess and Pencak Silat.
The agency tapped National Master Edmundo Gatus and Grand Master Rolando Nolte from the National Chess Federation of the Philippines, and Alkhatani Tackong and Islam Aldam from the Philsilat Sports Association, Inc. to render sports services dubbed as ‘Laro’t Saya sa Serbisyo Fair’.
National Master Edmundo Gatus plays in an exhibition match with a local player.
Before the Serbisyo Fair, a representative of the Office of the PSC Chairman met with some local sports leaders of the Bangsamoro Region to build ties and promote the government’s grassroots initiative.
