Meantime, karateka Sakura Alforte delivered the country’s 10th bronze medal as she beat Chinese Taipei’s Hsuan Chien in the women’s individual Jata.
The Philippines is currently in 24th place for the overall medal standings with a total of 13 medals – 2 gold, 1 silver and 10 bronzes.
