Jungkook takes Gold House Cup

Second favorite Jungkook emerged victorious as he fashioned out an off-the-pace run in the early goings and went for the win at just the opportune time to take home last Sunday’s 1st Gold House Co. Ltd. Special Invitational Race at the Metroturf

The Low Profile-Liquid Oxygen progeny bided his time in third at the onset while top favorites Boss Emong and Life Gets Better slugged it out to dictate the pace of the race not minding the testing 1800m distance.

It was at the far turn where jockey Jonathan Hernandez, relying on his experience, decided to go for the win with the frontrunners visibly tired. And that he did as Jungkook held off running mates Robin Hood and Magtotobetsky when he hit the wire two lengths ahead with Boss Emong salvaging fourth.

The race went with clips of 13’-22-24-25-26’ for a total of 1:51.

Overall, a festive racing atmosphere filled the Malvar, Batangas track as buses were provided for racing fans who wished to see live racing. Giveaways and raffle prizes abound for the bayang karerista with sandwiches for them as well.

The Korean guests were delighted and were delighted when they tried our native roasted pig (lechon) aside from the special bibingka and puto bumbong.
