Gov. Jonvic Remulla earns disappointment reactions over his 2022 election forecast

Four months to the political race, the legislative head of Cavite region made his forecast concerning who he believes will win in his turf in the May 2022 election.

In his post today, headlined BAWAT BUKAS, Governor Jonvic Remulla mulls over his presidential bet in the coming #Halalan2022 because of all the heat happening towards the election. He reflected until the result of the recently held survey held in Cavite from December 1-5, 2021 was revealed by him.

“Surveys are a snapshot in time. If the election was held today? BBM will win in Cavite by a landslide,” says Remulla in his statement posted on his Facebook page.

The survey shows BBM leading by 62% margin over Leni Robredo’s 9% poll based on an internal survey from 1,600 respondents.

“I believe he (BBM) will win the Presidency in 2022. It’s time. It’s his destiny,” he concluded.

His statement on Facebook and his now deleted Twitter post earned mixed reactions with many netizens disappointed over his post.

As far as the Remulla family is concerned, his other brother Gilbert has publicly shown his bet for the presidential race. He has openly supports the BBM-Sara tandem ever since the height of the political caravans started.

Gilbert seemed to approved his brother’s announcement that he retweets it with a caption, “And then this happened. #BBM.”

Even with the post, Gov. Remulla has not yet formally endorsed any presidential or vice-presidential aspirants for the upcoming election. He recently held meeting with another Presidential candidate and fellow Caviteño, Sen. Ping Lacson last December. In case you missed it, the governor is a member of the National Unity Party, which is led by former Interior Secretary Ronaldo V. Puno and allied with Partido Reporma – which is led by its chairman and standard bearer, Lacson.
