Even with the recent shift to alert level 1, our fight against the COVID-19 pandemic is far from over. Just when we thought the Delta outbreak had reached its apex, the Omicron variant arrived, setting a new high for COVID cases in the country. Thousands of people, particularly in the NCR, reported flu-like symptoms such as fever, headache, and body pain, causing widespread concern and skyrocketing demand for antigen tests and home care remedies.
Fortunately, the Omicron variant proved to be more manageable as most people were able to recover at home, but that doesn’t mean that we should let our guard down. Sarimax is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) or pain killer indicated for the following:
1. Relief of musculoskeletal and joint disorders such as ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis, and rheumatoid arthritis including juvenile idiopathic arthritis. (in short: body and muscle pain, arthritis at rayuma)
2. Relief of pains such as dysmenorrhea, headache including migraine, post operative pain, soft tissue disorders, acute gout, and to reduce fever.
Naproxen Sodium (Sarimax) relieves headache and fever as well as general body pains and arthritis. It provides All Day Strong pain relief with twice daily use. One pill can provide up to 12 hours longer-lasting relief compared to plain ibuprofen and paracetamol. It is now available at leading drug stores and pharmacies nationwide and in Shopee and Lazada for P10 (SRP) for the 275mg variant.
