“Where is the President?”
Missing in action or MIA. The public are wondering why they are not seeing President Rodrigo Duterte for more than seven days already. Was it just a case of bad flu or did something unusual happen?
Meanwhile, the president’s daughter was seen leaving for Singapore amid the pandemic crisis in the country. Sara confirmed this and said that she is flying to Singapore for “personal health management.”
“I am on leave from April 6-10, 2021,” she said. “I have a travel authority to Singapore from the DILG. The reason is personal health management.”
Back in Malacañang, Duterte hasn’t been seen in any media platforms lately. To answer confusions as to the whereabouts of the president, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque announced that Duterte will be skipping his weekly speech “in light of the rising number of active COVID-19 cases” after 45 members of the Presidential Security Group have been found positive for COVID-19.
PCOO Secretary Martin Andanar was quick to dismiss the rumor that the president suffered a mild stroke.
“Huwag magpapaniwala sa FAKE NEWS,” Andanar said in his post on Facebook Wednesday evening.
So, what’s the real score? Where is the president?
