With all the worst things that are happening around us: COVID-19, earthquakes, volcano eruptions, mañanita, anomalous government disbursements and procurements, hate and racism, soldiers killed by terrorists, violent implications of the anti-terror bill, POGO, implementing tax requirements to online sellers/bloggers/YouTubers, the likes of a Sonny Alcos, and many more (you name it), sometimes netizens need to look for diversions to forget all of these, even just for a second.

Then came Twitter user @Lordrich who started a thread leading to a light conversation making fun of each other’s holdup stories.

We’re not saying we should not take these minor crime incidents seriously, but we can’t blame the netizens for sharing and injecting humor to their own robbery, pickpocket, and holdup experience.

Here’s the tweet that started it all.

And here are some of the netizens who responded…

These are just some of the funniest, embarassing, and memorable holdup experience of the netizens who gamely shared their worst encounters on @Lordrich tweet.

Sometimes it’s easier to accept these unfortunate things if you stop sulking and let yourself laugh at your own predicament. You’ll then realized that you’re not alone.
