Samsung enters and aims to dominate the pico projector market with its newest offering called THE FREESTYLE!
Introduced at CES 2022, The Freestyle basically combines all the neat features of a handheld digital projector with the latest innovations in display, a built-in surround sound, and a smart platform that levels up viewing pleasure.
Here are three reasons why Samsung The Freestyle can be a great addition to your gadget collection even if you already have a bad-ass TV set at home.
PORTABLE
Let’s start with the obvious. Well, you can’t bring your TV with you anywhere, can you? But with The Freestyle, you can bring all kinds of entertainment with you anytime and anywhere. The design is simple and minimalistic at it resembles your ordinary spotlight. It’s also lightweight and easy to carry and move around. You can even mount it on a lampshade.
The Freestyle has a built-in microphone, a USB-C port for power, and a Micro-HDMI port for external devices.
SMART
The best thing about The Freestyle is that it has successfully integrated all the key features of a pico projector and added a smart platform with a built-in 360 5w surround sound speaker that will give any average-sized room that theater like feel.
The very smart projector is built for wireless connectivity for Wi-Fi 5 and Wi-Fi Direct, plus Bluetooth 5.2 and a support for Apple AirPlay 2. The Wi-Fi connectivity supports its Tizen-powered smart platform, which includes streaming apps. The Samsung projector also supports the SmartThings app for Android and iOS, providing the same control options as the included remote, but also adds voice interaction via Bixby and Amazon Alexa using a built-in far-field microphone.
But the best part about The Freestyle is its Smart Calibration system – which provides automatic keystoning, levelling and focus. Just mount the unit in any sturdy platform, point it at a surface and The Freestyle will adjust itself. Screen size can be from 30 to 100 inches, brightness is at 550 LED Lumens and its Full HD (1920 1080).
FLEXIBLE
Lastly, aside from using The Freestyle for what is normally intended, the unit also has an ambient mode that allows you to project from a choice of 20 images or your own photos and can be used as a mood lighting device.
