Royal elevates the kulit experience with snacking

For about a year now, Royal has been spreading kulit vibes among Filipinos. Last October 2021, Royal, one of Coca-Cola Philippines’ top brands and one of the country’s most well-known fruit-flavored sparkling drinks, launched a fun-filled initiative that motivated more people to embrace their inner child. Known as Generation Kulit, this campaign encourages people to overcome the “gray” in everyday life by being playful and colorful.

As part of this campaign, Royal came up with an online series, Generation Kulit Livestream. The Generation Kulit Livestream encourages people to end the week on a playful note at everyone’s newest Friday tambayan, where one can relax, let loose, and hang out from their home’s comfort.

During the first season, young-at-heart Filipino celebrities and influencers showcased how to fight back against everyday grays with Royal by bringing out one’s inner kulit. Each episode was full of fun discussions, wacky challenges, and rewards and surprises that were streamed live on Friday nights.

In one of the episodes, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach defined the essence of “beautifully kulit with a heart” and why adults should always keep their playful streak: “Important na hindi mawala ‘yung inner child or inner kulit natin. Huwag maging masyadong seryoso, at mag-enjoy lang because this helps in easing your worries. At the same time, nakakapagpasaya ka ng ibang tao,” she said.

Season 1 ran for the whole month of October 2021, with the series coming back for a holiday edition episode in December.

SNACKulitan with Generation Kulit Livestream Extra

The second season, titled Generation Kulit Livestream Extra, premiered in June 2022 and incorporated something new: snacking!

Snacking, known as merienda in the Philippines, has always been an enjoyable experience to share with loved ones. To Filipinos, merienda is a great way to sample different foods and discover new flavors with family and friends. But more importantly, with Royal, snacking is made extra colorful.

With this, Royal, through Generation Kulit Livestream Extra, put a focus on fun and innovative ways people can have fun while munching on snacks. Beginning with Episode 3, the livestream series has featured snacking-related games and activities that celebrity/influencer guests enjoy.

Among the famous faces featured this season are the main Generation Kulit Barkada: Luis Manzano, Kim Chiu, Seth Fedelin, Kyline Alcantara, and Melai Cantiveros, actors who are well-known for their quirky personalities. More fun-loving stars were also welcomed to the show: Maymay Entrata, Eric “Eruption” Tai, Ashley Rivera, and even TikTok-famous influencers like Nana Silayro. Everyone was able to showcase what being Generation Kulit is all about—and did not hesitate to snack it out!

Moreover, to further engage the audience, an entire segment of each episode was dedicated to a snacking-related user-generated content challenge—Royal Snack Challenge— where consumers had to participate for a chance to win exciting prizes. To make sure the snack challenges would be remarkable yet feasible, Royal partnered with TikTok-famous chef slash influencer Hazel Cheffy, who is known for creating easy-to-make recipes of well-loved Filipino dishes infused which she showcases in a very kulit and fun way.

Kulit is forever

Generation Kulit Livestream Extra demonstrates that snacking is a bonding experience among Filipinos. When paired with Royal, the kulit is really brought out of anyone and everyone.

Royal is the perfect drink to unwind and live life to the fullest with, and Generation Kulit will stand as a reminder never to lose one’s inner kulit. As Luis Manzano once said on the show,

“Huwag natin alisin ang kulit sa buhay natin. Iba ang gising, iba ang tulog, pag dinadagdagan natin ng kulit ang buhay.”
