Investigation on the killing of Robyn Jang Lucero, 34 years old, is now focused on four persons of interest, police says.
Jang, the lady driver who was found dead with multiple stab wounds inside her car in Calamba City in Laguna on Sunday night most likely knew her killer or killers personally, said Calamba City police chief Lieutenant Colonel Gene Licud in an interview on news program 24 Oras.

He said witnesses have also come forward giving testimonies about the incident. “Ang sinasabi nila ay nakita raw nila ‘yong sasakyan so pinapatunayan nila ‘yong theory namin na tatlo o higit pa ‘yong gumawa noon,” Licud said.
He added they are considering the possibility that Lucero’s murder was a crime of passion.
“May mga common friends sila and it appears na ito kakilala, kung hindi man ito kakilalang eksakto, mayroong mga kilala doon sa biktima na siya naman ang nag-utos dito doon sa mga sumakay,” Licud said.

Lucero left home late Sunday night, saying she was hired by four people to drive them from Laguna to Metro Manila.
Lucero, a resident of Vito Cruz, Manila, had been moonlighting as driver using her own car ever since she lost her job due to the community quarantine being implemented amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Jang was driving a gray Mitsubishi G4 sedan where her body was found with more than 50 stab wounds. The car was found parked on a dark portion of the Bypass Road in Laguna. Police said none of her belongings was missing.
Police also found a bag with two mobile phones near the road where Jang’s body was found. One of the phones had no battery.
Licud said the Philippine National Police (PNP) is still investigating whether they are connected with the crime.
