Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto on Wednesday said the local government has raised P1.2 billion to provide tablets, laptops, and learning devices for elementary up to senior high school students and teachers in public schools for its distance learning education.
The mayor urged 2,500 students of Pamantasang Lungsod ng Pasig (PLP) to enroll and they don’t have nothing to worry because the local government will provide for them. P30 million worth of devices and gadgets will be available for PLP students.
The mayor told the students the impact of the loss of opportunity to learn if they’ll not enroll and stop schooling. The students do not need to worry about their tuition fees, said the mayor.
