Today, April 14, Mayor Linabelle Ruth R. Villarica of the City of Meycauayan in Bulacan stepped up to announce that the city government will try to accommodate more (if not all) qualified beneficiaries to receive ECQ/MECQ ‘ayuda’ cash assistance after the distribution of national budget from the DSWD regional office’s list is finished.
The honorable mayor is reaching out to the people of Meycauayan for more understanding in this time of crisis.
The national government has allotted P1.7M for the ECQ/MECQ cash assistance in Meycauayan City but it’s not sufficient to accommodate all qualified SAP recipients. The city government started distributing cash assistance of P1,000 per individual or not more than P4,000 for family members.
The distribution of SAP is ongoing and eight out of twenty-six barangays have already received cash assistance as of this writing.
And to make sure you’re safe while you’re in public, don’t forget to wear your face shield and face mask.
For COVID-19 cases report, there has been a total of 1,808 positive cases in the city as of April 14. 1,257 of those cases have recovered.
