List of accredited COVID-19 testing hospitals and clinics in Manila and Metro South

FACT: COVID-19 crisis has changed the way we view things. It also changed the way we live. Most of us are also more anxious now as we get information about rising COVID-19 patients every day. While the symptoms of the coronavirus stay the same, there are instances of new cases – asymptomatic or not – feel otherwise.

There were asymptomatic patients that eventually succumbed to the detrimental virus. Therefore, the government is asking each and everyone to be mindful, careful, and more responsible.

However, the question is: how much would it cost for an individual to get tested and where are the testing centers?

Here is the list of accredited hospitals and clinics where you can get tested. Some of these places have pricing enlisted, some you might need to double and call.

Manila

Asian Hospital and Medical Center – PHP 6k ( 4k+ for seniors). Result waiting time is maximum of 3 days. You may call 87718000 for more details.

Cardinal Santos Medical Center – PHP 7,500 (Online Booking) / PHP 8,000 (Walk-In). The result waiting time is 3-5 days. You may call 87270001.

Chinese General Hospital – PHP 5,500 – a drive-thru. The result waiting time is 48 hours and they will text or email the result. PHP3,409 (if with Philhealth deduction) and PHP1,591 (for PWD and senior citizen, 20% dc).

Makati Medical Center – PHP 8,150. The result waiting time is 1-2 days. Call 88888999 for more details.

Phil Red Cross Boni – 1158 – 4500 pesos and the result will be available in a week.

St Luke’s Global – PHP 8150 drive-thru. Waiting time for the result is 2-3 days. You may call 87897700 for more details and appointment setting.

St Lukes QC – PHP 4,300 but if you want their drive-thru service, the charge is PHP 6,500. Results will be available in 2-3 days. For schedules and appointments, please call 87230101.

St. Martin de Porres Charity Hospital – PHP 4,000. Results are available after 3 days. For information, call (02) 8723 0743.

The Medical City Ortigas – PHP 8,150 and results are in after or within 3 days. You may contact them thru this number 89881000.

VRPMC – PHP 7-10,000 pesos through ER and the result is available after 3 working days.

Important questions to ask before the testing:

  • Is this covered by my health card and/or Philhealth?
  • When do I receive the result?
  • Is the facility covid-proof?

Things to bring on the testing day:

  • Request letter from the attending Physician
  • If the swab testing is for work clearance, ask your HR to give you a letter (hard copy) to show the laboratory or the hospital staff.
  • Hand sanitizers or alcohol, wipes, face mask/shield.

If you have any of the COVID symptoms like:

  • dry cough
  • fever
  • loss of taste and smell
  • diarrhea
  • or if you feel ill, do not hesitate to visit the nearest emergency room in your area.
