Police discovered human remains, a skeleton in Palawan, and a PNP investigation confirmed that it was the missing girl, Jovelyn Galleno. Several Galleno IDs and personal belongings were discovered alongside the skeleton.
Galleno has been missing since August 5, 2022, shortly after leaving work in Robinsons Place Palawan. Investigations were launched right away to track down the girl’s whereabouts.
The remains were discovered just a few meters from the victim’s home. According to the initial report, the remains were discovered through the confession of one of the suspects in Galleno’s disappearance.
Authorities discovered the skeleton around 1 a.m. today (August 23), near the Galleno family’s home.
PNP has announced that one of the suspects and the person of interest is the victim’s cousin. Jovelyn is the breadwinner of the Galleno family.
