Based on our hands-on experience, the HUAWEI MatePad 10.4 is certain to be your ideal companion, allowing you to confidently and stylishly face most any challenge on the go. It weighs only 450g and is only 7.35mm thick. For all of its features and services, the MatePad 10.4 is incredibly portable. The 2K HUAWEI FullView Display and 84 percent screen-to-body ratio provide an immersive and expansive view that is easy on the eyes in almost any environment.
But, before we get into the user experience and hands-on review, let’s take a look at what’s included in the HUAWEI MatePad 10.4 package.

HUAWEI MatePad 10.4 is a slim and portable PC-like tablet that allows users to be seen and heard whenever and wherever inspiration strikes. The device is housed in the white box, which is accompanied by a smaller box containing the USB-C cord and the SIM eject tool. The 18W charging brick is located in the other compartment.
The device we received also came with a HUAWEI M-Pencil and Smart Keyboard. The Huawei M-Pencil is packaged in a smaller box and includes a magnetic charger. The Smart Keyboard is packaged separately. In May, this all-in-one productivity package was available as a bundle on the HUAWEI Online Store, Lazada, and Shopee.
The tablet is very comfortable to look at and carry due to its slim bezels and perfectly symmetrical and ergonomic design. The 10.4-inch 2K resolution screen is of exceptional quality, with multi-layered eye protection guaranteed and validated by TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light and Flicker-Free certifications. Harman Kardon, the renowned pro-grade audio equipment brand, professionally tuned the tablet’s quad-channel quad-speaker sound system, resulting in 60 percent more intense sound vibrations. The HUAWEI MatePad also has three microphones and Huawei’s self-developed noise reduction feature to improve call reception. If that isn’t enough to impress a user, the MatePad can run for up to 28 days on standby thanks to a massive 7250mAh battery that supports 22.5W charging and takes only 2.5 hours to fully charge.
The HUAWEI MatePad 10.4 is ideal for use with the Smart Keyboard and M-Pencil. The M-Pencil, in particular, includes intuitive extra features for artists and students, such as the ability to personalize the Pencil’s nubs and built-in smart features such as HUAWEI FreeScript, which recognizes users’ handwritten input and converts it to text input as desired. The Smart Keyboard, on the other hand, allows you to use the HUAWEI MatePad 10.4 in multiple applications, making it more comfortable and easier to work or simply play around with the MatePad.
In landscape mode, the top bezel houses the selfie camera and the power button and two speaker grilles are located on top of the device. The USB-C port and two additional speaker grilles are located on the bottom.
The volume controls are on the right side, while the SIM card tray is on the left. It can hold one SIM card as well as a microSD card.
The camera bump on the back houses a single 13MP rear camera with LED flash.
