The season of giving is made sweeter and more delightful with Café Pronto’s selection of themed goodies and desserts ideal for sharing with loved ones and dear colleagues. From its Chocolate Lollies to its luxe Pâte de Fruit range, Café Pronto presents a festive spread of treats worth giving and sharing. The Pastry Team led by Chef Jhun Arizala also presents this season’s featured cake, the Tropical Fruit Caramel Cake, available for PHP 1560. This light-yet-decadent dessert is made with glazed fruits and rich Chantilly crème.
Celebrations with family and friends are made safer and more convenient with Marco Polo Ortigas Manila’s Holiday roasts and platters. Advanced orders of Lung Hin’s Suckling Pig, Roasted Baby Duck, and Peking Duck, as well as the prized Roast Turkey paired with Festive Vegetables are available for advanced orders to grace gatherings at home. Filipino favourites such as Fish Escabeche and Kare-Kare are also among the time-treasured flavours that guests can look forward to for such celebrations, taking the fuss and stress out of planning the most delicious time of the year.
The View from The Sky
As the Philippines’ first sky hotel, Marco Polo Ortigas Manila affords guests and videos an unmatched view of both the Ortigas cityscape and the serene Rizal mountains. This Holiday season, guests are invited to dine in style on 24, 25, 30, and 31 December with the Connect Lounge’s special set menus for Christmas and the coming New Year. For the Christmas set menu, guests can choose either the Scallops Ceviche and Avocado Purée with Black Olive Powder and Citrus Salad or the Gin Kaffir Lime-Cured Salmon, Cucumber, and Avocado for starters; and either the Stuffed Pistachio Turkey Roulade with Herb Bread Dumpling Roll in Cranberry and Giblet Sauce or the Scallop and Shrimp-crusted Chilean Sea Bass with Soft Polenta with Black Garlic Sauce for the main dish.
For guests who will be able to guarantee their reservations for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (lunch and dinner) by 5:00 PM on 23 December will be able to enjoy their holiday meals for a special per-person rate of PHP2188++. Guests who reserve their tables after this time will be extended the regular per-person rate of PHP3388++. The featured New Year’s set menu for lunch and dinner at Connect Lounge, featuring either Herb-Crusted Lamb Rack with Cranberry Risotto and Mint Sauce or Hot Smoked Chilean Sea Bass with Fennel Confit and Mashed Potato as the main dish may be booked ahead of its availability on 30 and 31 December.
From 19 December 2020 to 3 January 2021, guests can look forward to special Holiday set menus prepared with artistry and mastery by Lung Hin’s expert culinary team led by Executive Chef Ken Leung. These set menus feature some of the award-winning Cantonese restaurant’s specialties such as the Wok-Fried Tiger Prawns with Vegetable in XO Sauce, Sautéed Sliced Abalone with Fresh Scallops and Vegetables, and Crispy Roasted Baby Duck in Black Pepper Sauce. Available for both dine-in, takeaway, and advanced orders, these set menus are available for groups of five or 10, beginning PHP 13880++.
Lead the Way to 2021
While large-scale parties may no longer be allowed for the time being, VU’s continues its tradition of safe and luxe revelry all month long with 50% savings on with an al fresco dinner menu featuring the chill sounds of DJ Rukia. Aptly called “This Way to 2021,” dinner begins at 5:00 PM onwards with a door charge of PHP 1850 per guest, which includes one drink. Physical distancing is strictly observed at VU’s, in line with other health and safety guidelines issued by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) and the City Government of Pasig against COVID-19.
