After receiving reports from concerned Facebook users, the social media network assures its Philippine community that they are investigating the surge of duplicates and fake Facebook profiles which started to emerge over the weekend.
The social media tech giant’s representative encourages “people to continue reporting any accounts they believe may be inauthentic.”
The social media platform is working to validate the authenticity of these accounts and should the accounts fail to pass through authenticity checks, the accounts will be removed.
