In a sudden twist of development, Police Lieutenant Colonel Gene Licud, chief of the Calamba Police Station, said in his interview with Orly Trinidad of Super Radyo Dobol B program on July 6 Monday, that the police are still gathering evidence to apprehend the persons involved in the killing of 34-year old Robyn Jang Lucero last June 28.

“Sa ngayon po ay tuloy-tuloy pa rin po ang ating pagiimbestiga at ah, meron na tayong kino-consider pero kulang pa ang ating mga ebidensiya para… Kinakalap pa natin ang ating mga ebidensiya,” said Licud when Trinidad asked him if the persons of interest have already made feelers to surrender.

“May direksiyon naman po ang ating pag-iimbestiga… Sa, in due time ay sasabihin po namin sa publiko at sa inyo po kung ano po ang magiging kahihinatnan ng ating pag-iimbestiga,” added Licud.

In previous interviews, Licud urged all the persons involved and who were behind the crime to voluntarily surrender to the police to avoid more troubles.

Lucero was found dead inside her gray Mitsubishi G4 sedan with 52 stab wounds on the night of June 28 Sunday along a dark portion of Bypass Road in Calamba, Laguna.

“Hindi naman po tayo nagmamadali pero let me reassure the public na ginagawa naman po natin ang lahat and pasasaan nga ba’t makukuha din natin etong mga ‘to. Wala po tayong oras na inaano… Pero bagama’t ah, we’re not leaving any stones unturned. Gusto po namin na isa-isa yan na masiguro po natin,” Licud replied when Trinidad asked if there’s a possibilty that the case will have major developments by this week or before the month’s ends.
