In his Facebook page post, Department of Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar breaks the news that the Tarlac Pangasinan La Union Expressway (TPLEX) will be completed soon in 2020. Travel time from Manila to La Union will be reduced from 6 hours to only 3.5 hours.

This is part of the Build, Build, Build program of the Duterte administration.

Villar also announced that NLEX Harbor Link, the first truck-graded Expressway, will set to open to the public on June 15. Travel time from Quezon City to Manila will be reduced from 2 hours to only 15-20 minutes.

Toll fees are temporarilywaived at the newly completed C3-R10 Section of the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) Harbor Radial Road 10 Spur Link following its opening to vehicular traffic last June 15.

“Wala pa na munang toll adjustment. Libre muna itong Harbor Link for you to enjoy and help you travel around Metro Manila and Luzon,” Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar said during the opening ceremony in Navotas City on Monday.

“Once we open this afternoon at 5:00 p.m. ibang-iba na po ang landscape ng Metro Manila dahil karamihan po ng mga trucks and even regular vehicles would be able to utilize this and we will significantly move towards our dream of decongesting the metropolis,” Villar said.

The 2.6-kilometer section extends the existing 5.65-kilometer NLEX Harbor Link Segment 10 that passes through Karuhatan, Valenzuela City, Governor Pascual Avenue in Malabon City, and 5th Avenue/C3 Road, Caloocan City bypassing EDSA and Balintawak Toll Plaza.

The C3-R10 section of the NLEX Harbor Link also includes three exit off-ramps: Segment 10-C3 Ramp to Caloocan City, Dagat-Dagatan Ramp to Malabon City, and C3-R10 Ramp to Navotas City.
