Just in time for Christmas 2023, “Disney on Ice” will make its long-awaited return to Manila.

The iconic ice show’s performance this year, “Disney on Ice presents 100 Years of Wonder,” is the first since its last performance in the Philippines on January 5, 2020. It is a part of the year-long celebration of The Walt Disney Company’s 100th anniversary this October 2023.

From December 22, 2023 to January 7, 2024, the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City will be hosting 26 performances of “Disney on Ice presents 100 Years of Wonder,” a well-known ice skating concert that has been modified to reflect Disney’s century of achievement.

With performances by Disney Princesses Belle, Cinderella, Ariel, Mulan, Merida, and Tiana, the 2023 edition of the ice skating show will transport Filipino fans on an enchanted and melodious trip through a variety of Disney tales, including Frozen, Moana, and Coco.

According to Matthew Garrick, the company’s senior director for the Asia-Pacific region, more people attend “Disney on Ice” in Manila than in any other city in Southeast Asia.

During the press conference held last September 27, 2023, Garrick indicated that “100 Years of Wonder” will include new show features including aerial stunts, visual components, and VFX lighting. These will be shown in the “Mary Poppins Returns” segment.

Feld Entertainment has yet to publish ticket prices for this year, but it assures that tickets would remain affordable, with rates starting at P300. They will be available for purchase on the SM Tickets website soon.

With well-known films like “The Lion King” and “Toy Story,” as well as the Disney Princesses being portrayed on ice, the story of “100 Years of Wonder” revolves around Mickey Mouse and his friends going on a journey through various Disney stories.
