Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Benhur Abalos said yesterday, July 24 that 17 mayors in NCR would impose to prolong curfew hours from 12 a.m – 4 a.m. to 10 p.m. – 4 a.m.
“We need to limit the movement of the public through the imposition of longer curfew hours. Since the Delta variant spreads exponentially, we should not let our guards down and implement necessary restrictions to contain the virus,” MMDA Chairman Abalos stated.
The said restriction will be effective on Sunday, July 25, under the MMDA Resolution No. 21-13 — to prevent the spread of Delta Variant COVID-19.
Meanwhile, the Philippine Authorities have recorded 17 additional cases of Delta Variant, which was leading to 64 cases of the said variant in the country.
