The COVID-19 vaccination for senior citizens of the City of Manila begins today, March 28, based on Manila Public Information Office Facebook post this morning.
According to Manila City Health Officer Dr. Arnold “Poks” Pangan, Manila Health Department (MHD) staff will go to various barangays in the city to facilitate the vaccination process for senior citizens.
MHD targets to vaccinate 2,380 seniors who have previously expressed interest in getting vaccinated by pre-registering.
Manila City Mayor Francisco ‘Isko Moreno’ Domagoso continues to encourage the public to get vaccinated. He said, this adds protection for each individual and the community they belong to.
The roll out of vaccination is executed amid the announcement of the seven days enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) enforced in Greater Manila Area which include Metro Manila, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal provinces, starting on Monday, March 29 until April 4, 2021
Despite this, the Mayor also reminded that getting the vaccine is voluntary in the city and those interested can now pre-register at www.manilacovid19vaccine.com.
