Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando announced on Thursday to prepare its residents for tighter restrictions. He said that the province will be placed under modified enhance community quarantine (MECQ) starting August 16 until August 31, due to the high increase of new cases of COVID-19.
The Governor also added that Bulacan Medical Center (BMC) and Bulacan Infectious Control Center (BICC) are now filled with COVID-19 patients as continue to increase the number of cases in the province.
“Sobrang dami na ng transmission, puno na ang mga hospitals natin kaya doble ingat po tayo ngayon, mahalaga ang buhay, sumunod po tayo sa bagong tagubilin para sa ating kaligtasan,” Governor Fernando said.
Bulacan is now under general community quarantine (GCQ) with heightened restrictions until August 15.
As of now, on August 11, the Provincial Health office logged a total of 48,543 COVID-19 cases in the province.
